Mapping the news

The Seattle Times maps the news each day to make it easy for you to see what's happening throughout the area. Using Google Maps, we plot several stories daily. You can use the index on the left to select a story and see it plotted on a map. Or you can browse the map, zooming in and out, and click on a push pin to read about the story that happened there.

We've also mapped stories from news outlets around the globe in our World Edition.
