Huskies' 2 minute drill

Player of the game, play of the game, injuries, notes

Player of the game

Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli shook off a knee injury suffered three weeks ago to lead the Ducks' offense, hitting 14 of 22 passes for 157 yards and rushing 11 times for 54 more. He accounted for three touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air.

UW player of the game

Huskies receiver Devin Aguilar set a career-high with eight catches for a game-high 87 yards.

Play of the game

Oregon sophomore tight end David Paulson, a graduate of Auburn Riverside High School, made an over-the-shoulder catch of a pass from Masoli despite tight coverage from Donald Butler in the second quarter for a 32-yard gain to convert what was a third-and-25.

No thanks, Huskies

Asked if Washington had recruited him, Paulson said, "Yeah, they did. You know, I looked at 'em a little bit. I kind of wanted to get away from home. Also, both my brothers went to Washington State, so I don't think they would have talked to me if I'd ended up coming here."

Turning point

The Huskies appeared poised to take the lead midway through the second quarter when they drove to the Oregon 4-yard line. But after three plays picked up just three yards, UW went for it on fourth and goal at the 1. Jake Locker rolled out and couldn't find room to run nor anyone open. He forced a pass into the end zone for Kavario Middleton that was intercepted by Javes Lewis, resulting in an Oregon touchback.

Injuries

Huskies LB E.J. Savannah rebroke his thumb; G Nick Wood left for a time with a stinger; TB Chris Polk left briefly with an ankle injury; WR Jermaine Kearse bruised his hand. None of the injuries are considered serious.
