Rave To the buffoon driving the huge black SUV at about 80 mph on Interstate 5 who thoughtfully attracted the attention of the patrolman with the radar gun, thereby sparing those of us who were speeding slightly less egregiously.
Rant To the woman in the grocery store where my kids were selling Camp Fire candy who disparaged Camp Fire for accepting boys, said girls aren't heroes like Boy Scouts, AND questioned the sexuality of my 5-year-old son. Shame on you and the hatred you represent!
Rave To the Southwest Airlines flight attendants who made my Mom's 80th birthday trip to Las Vegas start on such a great note. They announced the occasion, had everyone close their blinds and turn on all their call lights to be her "birthday candles," led everyone in singing to her and then had her "blow out"' the candles and made her a crown and birthday cake out of peanut packages, cocktail spears and toilet paper!
Rant To the person who smashed my car window and stole my diaper bag at the Value Village parking lot. I have a 7-week-old baby and you took all her formula and bottles and several other items that have no monetary value but that I am heartbroken are gone. Thanks to you I had a screaming hungry baby and will have to replace the car window, my diaper bag and all its contents.
Rave To the Mariners for the 2012 FanFest. It gets better every year. Special rave to Mike Carp and Casper Wells who gave lots of autographs and posed for photos with fans.
Rant For the woman on our bus with the booming voice who never seems to stop regaling her day-to-day problems with her supervisor. Please take consideration that most of us just want to read, listen to music or relax and lower your voice a few notches.
Rave and Rant Rave to the Lake City Fire Department and EMT's who responded so quickly to our call from a restaurant to help the person who overdosed in the restroom. Rant to addiction that makes people do horrible things.
