Ore. school takes down defaced political poster

BEAVERTON, Ore. — A poster at a high school featuring presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain was removed after it was defaced with a racial epithet.

BEAVERTON, Ore. — A poster at a high school featuring presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain was removed after it was defaced with a racial epithet.

Administrators at Jesuit High School say three teenagers who were not students walked onto school grounds Sept. 28, the day before the poster was defaced, and asked where to find the "Obama posters."

The school contacted Beaverton police after students reported the teenagers were threatening and aggressive.

School officials suspect the three were involved but say any Jesuit High School students found responsible will face expulsion.

Beaverton police are also investigating racist notes a student received in a school locker and at home.
