Seattle man overdue on hike east of Arlington

Snohomish County sheriff's searchers are looking for a Seattle man overdue on a weeklong hike in the Little French Creek area, about 40 miles east of Arlington.

Snohomish County sheriff's searchers are looking for a Seattle man overdue on a weeklong hike in the Little French Creek area, about 40 miles east of Arlington.

The sheriff's office received a report of the overdue hiker Tuesday.

The hiker, 59-year-old Gregory Keller of Seattle, was reported missing by his girlfriend. He left the Seattle area on October 27 to go hike off of the Mountain Loop Highway near Darrington. He was scheduled to return on Monday. Keller had taken camping equipment with him, but he is reported to not have any overnight experience, said police.

Snohomish County Search and Rescue began a search Tuesday. About noon Tuesday, Keller's rental car was discovered parked up Little French Creek Road, near Highway 530. Searchers are looking on the ground and in the air.
