Permits available to cut Christmas trees

Christmas tree-cutting permits are now available for the Olympic National Forest. One tree is allowed per family, and trees may be cut only in designated areas.

Christmas tree-cutting permits are now available for the Olympic National Forest. One tree is allowed per family, and trees may be cut only in designated areas.

The permits, at $5 each, are available at Olympia Forest Headquarters, Hoodsport Visitor Information Center, Hood Canal Ranger District in Quilcene, Pacific Ranger District Information Centers in Forks and Quinault, or by mail order through all locations but Hoodsport.
