Make plans now for "Thanksgiving in Wine Country," a Yakima Valley event Nov. 27-29 featuring wine and food pairing, special winery tours and tastings. Members of two winery organizations, Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail and Wine Yakima Valley, offer open houses. Rattlesnake Hills wineries charge no fee for the event, though purchasers of a $10 Passport, available at any participating winery, qualify for additional price breaks and wine sampling (see www.rattlesnakehills.com). A Premier Pass ($30 in advance, $35 that weekend) entitles holders to activities at participating Wine Yakima Valley wineries.
