King County counted 254,000 ballots last night — including all ballots received by Saturday, and likely a few ballots received on Monday. The next ballot count update will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Many more votes remain uncounted. The county predicts about 605,000 voters — about 56 percent of eligible voters — will cast ballots in the all-mail election.
In Seattle, about 89,000 ballots were counted Tuesday night out of more than 200,000 predicted to be cast in the city.
Snohomish County counted about 91,000 ballots last night, about half the expected turnout for the election.
