Pac-12 unanimously extends Larry Scott's contract through 2016

Larry Scott led conference's expansion, helped negotiate new TV deal.

The Pac-12 board of directors, consisting of all 12 university presidents, recently unanimously extended the contract of commissioner Larry Scott through 2016 with options to add additional years in the future, it was announced Monday.

Scott, 47, who has been commissioner since July 1, 2009, is credited with leading the conference through an expansion that added Utah and Colorado and helping negotiate a new TV deal that will give the conference an estimated $3 billion over 12 seasons, among other achievements.
