Got a good Apple Cup joke? Share them here

It's a tradition that never gets old.

It's that time of year again, folks. The beloved Apple Cup. A time where Washington is divided between crimson and purple in the state's longest-standing rivalry. It's also a time Coug and Husky fans alike get to dust off old jokes, jabs and one-liners at their respective in-state foes.

We at The Seattle Times know you fans out there have plenty of hilarious ammunition stored away, and now we're giving you a chance to fire away. Give us your best Husky or Cougar joke in the comments section below, and we'll feature the top responses in our print edition before The Apple Cup, which takes place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Pullman.

Another option: E-mail us your joke.

In the spirit of the healthy rivalry, please keep responses family-friendly. To get you started, here are a couple of examples:

"What do the Huskies and possums have in common? Both play dead at home and get killed on the road."

And of course, here's one from the late Don James, UW coach:

"I've always felt that being a Cougar prepares you for life. You learn not to expect too much."

Fire away!
